About the Event:

Mood Indigo is Asia's largest cultural festival, which is held at IIT Bombay. Rang De is the official microcredit partner of Mood Indigo and the team has a stall there. We plan to campaign in a big way to rope in social investors. Read on to know more about our exciting contests and amazing prizes.

Event Details

• Date and Time: Dec 21 - Dec 24

• Venue: IIT Bombay

• Organisers: Rang De Team and Mumbai Chapter Members

The contests below require an entry fee of Rs. 100 (will go towards a social investment of the participant). Contests for which people can participate online have been indicated with (online). Online submissions must be accompanied by the participant's telephone number.

• T-shirt and poster design competition (online) - Design a round-neck or collared T-shirt or a poster for Rang De. The theme for the design should relate to Rang De/Microcredit/Micro-entrepreneur. Submit it before December 24th 12:00pm at the stall or send it to moodi@rangde.org. Prizes will be declared at 5:00pm on the same day.

  • Prize for best T-shirt design contest: One Playstation 2 (sponored by our partners Cheesecare.com) with a free game and a paid internship from Rang De's design partner Cheesecare.

  • Prize for best Poster Design: A Playstation 2 and a free game (sponored by our partners Cheesecare.com) and a paid internship with Cheesecare, Rang De's design partner.

• Got get ‘em (online) - Starting 21st December, there will be a referral contest till 12:00pm on Dec 24th.  Get as many of your friends to make a social investment.  The number of referrals you make will correspond to the number of chits with your name in the final lucky draw.  Referees can Inform the Rang De team as to whom referred them at moodi@rangde.org or can bring them to the Rang De stall at IIT Bombay.

  • Prize: A 250GB Hardisk (seagate)

  • Terms and Conditions: The hard disk will be sent by courier for free only in India.  We would prefer it if the prize winner collects it from the Rang De stall.

• Auctions - Auctions will be held twice everyday, one at 1:00pm and one at 5:00pm.  The person that makes the highest bid (bid amounts will have to be made as social investments) will win a prize. Incase of a tie, there will be a lucky draw to chose who wins. Prizes Include:

  • A senheiser headphone worth Rs. 2500

  • Food vouchers to spend at mood Indigo

  • USB Drives

  • A Logitech Mouse with the design on the Indian flag.

  • Creative In-Ear phones (model EP630)

  • Logitech 2.0 speakers.

• Slogan Design (online)- Come up with a creative tagline for the Rang De team - The current ones in use are "Share the Colours of Joy" and "Knock out Poverty". See if you have the creativity to come up with a slogan that has the Umph! Submit your slogan to moodi@rangde.org or at the Rang De stall by 12pm on the 24th of December.

  • Prize: A 4GB USB drive and an internship with Rang De's creative team.

  • Terms and conditions: Only one slogan per person is allowed.

• And many other games such as Tug of War, Knock off the glasses, Hit the Three Idiots with a water balloon, Knock out poverty boxing contest, a quiz on microcredit and a golf contest. Winners will get Rang De T shirts.

    • T-shirts will only be couriered within India. If you would like it abroad then you must pay for the courier charges.

    • The lucky winner will be announced at 6:00pm everyday.  The contest starts from Dec 20 6:00pm and ends on Dec 24 6:00pm

• Email Redemption of Rang De Experience Voucher - (only for mood indigo participants): Selected mood indigo participants will receive an email which will allow them to redeem a Rang De experience voucher. People who redeem the voucher stand a chance to win a prize.

  • Prize: A Homestay Weekend getaway sponsored by HolidayIQ.com

• SMS Redemption of Rang De Experience Voucher (only for those at IIT Bombay during Mood Indigo) - Redeem a Rang De experience voucher on your mobile phone during the mood indigo festival to win a prize.
